We have some new details about Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson’s new little bundle of joy Bronx Mowgli!
Bronx is an adorable happy little bundle of joy who has dirty blonde hair just like his mom’s natural hair color.
“He’s
a really happy baby who is pretty laid back,” a source tell us.
“Unless, there’s too much noise around him, he’s always happy and
smiling.”
The source said that Pete and Ashlee couldn’t be
happier and even though there were reports that their little guy came
much later than their due date, the reports aren’t true.
“Ashlee is happy and had a normal pregnancy,” the source said. “She gave birth right around the time she was scheduled to.”
Wentz will be in Chicago next week to perform with Fall Out Boy and as of now Ashlee and Bronx have no plans to make the trip.
“The whole family is doing great!” the source said. “They are all happy and healthy!”
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed a son Thursday night, PEOPLE confirms.
Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.
"Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!" a spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
Simpson-Wentz,
24, and the Fall Out Boy bassist, 29, announced her pregnancy in May, a
few weeks after their opulent Alice's Adventures In Wonderland-themed
wedding.
"I would love to have a big family one day," Simpson-Wentz told PEOPLE at the time. Added Wentz: "A big soccer team or a band!"
And, as her dad, Joe Simpson, recently put it to PEOPLE: "The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman."
Wentz,
meanwhile, has been leaning on rocker pal Joel Madden – dad to
9-month-old Harlow with girlfriend Nicole Richie – for tips on
fatherhood. "Joel gives me advice," Wentz recently told PEOPLE. "[It's]
been really awesome for me to go to another person my age."
Richie and Harlow were guests at Simpson-Wentz's Winnie the Pooh-themed baby shower on Nov. 1.
Wentz also has another kind of baby on the way: Fall Out Boy's third album, Folie A Deux, will be released on Dec. 16.
-On his attraction to wife Ashlee: “Out of the entire Simpson family, and out of all the Simpsons on the planet,
and all the girls in the universe, the hottest one is the one I married. She
could be sitting there in a pair of sweatpants and she beats out any girl in Maxim.”
-On the secret language he shares
with Ashlee: “My wife can look at me in a certain way and I
can tell by her eyes how she’s feeling about me or when I should stop
talking about something. It’s kind of the way twins have their own
thing.”

Ashlee Simpson may be only 24 – but, says her dad, she became a full-fledged grown-up the moment she learned she was expecting.
"The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman," Joe Simpson tells PEOPLE.
"She's concerned about what she eats and how she prepares for the child and [details like], is the baby's room 'green' enough?" he explains. "It's a transformation you never expect as a parent – you pray for it, but never expect it. She's ready for this baby!"
And, Simpson says, his son-in-law Pete Wentz is equally prepared for their impending due date.
"Pete is the king of details, so he wants to make sure the baby's room is just right – the right colors, the right sheets, the right look," Simpson gushes. "He's a great parent."
Auntie Jessica "Papa Joe" (as he hopes to be called) also says that his eldest daughter Jessica is eager to assume the mantle of doting auntie.
In fact, Simpson – who manages the careers of both his daughters – says he's doing everything he can to keep Jessica from bailing on her ongoing country-music tour.
"I'm trying to keep her out there until the baby's born," he adds. "I have a couple of other dates I need her to play!"
Grandpa Joe In fact, the only Simpson who isn't completely ready for the new arrival is Joe himself. "I am too young to be a grandpa!" the 50-year-old declares. "But I am excited."
As for the name of the Simpson-Wentz baby, the former preacher is keeping mum. "I'm not allowed to give any hints," he insists. "I can tell you it's not Joe. I wished, I tried, but it didn't work."
